deepC Store presents at “Australia’s hydrogen landscape and industry capabilities - enabling a hydrogen society” webinar hosted by AusTrade and the Australia Consulate in Osaka

CStore1 Study Manager Matt Holding presented at the webinar about CStore1, our Floating CCS Hub Project and participated in a panel discussion on the Thursday 16 December 2021. More than 100 participants from Japanese organisations were in attendance for the webinar.

Matt provided detailed insights on:

  • deepC Store, Australia’s new carbon management services company that originates and develops a series of commercial-scale CCS projects for a wide range of CO2 emitting industries.

  • CStore1 project overview and the benefits a carrier-based CCS project can have over a pipeline-based project, including:

    • Cost-effective long-distance transportation of CO2.

    • Enabling CCS for more emitters by transportation of smaller volumes of CO2 that would not justify a capital-intensive pipeline.

    • Accelerating development of subsequent projects based on a design one build many approach.

    • Improving capital efficiency by incrementally increasing the value chain throughput via staggered investment.
