deepC Store presents at ANZ CCUS Forum 2021
CStore1 Study Manager Matt Holding presented at the Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) Carbon Capture Utilisation and Storage (CCUS) Conference (virtual) on Thursday 30 September 2021 on the topic “deepC Store: Achieving the first floating Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) in Australia and Asia-Pacific.”
Matt presented an overview of:
deepC Store Limited - Australia’s new carbon management services company;
CStore1 - Asia Pacific’s 1st floating multi-user CCS hub;
Leveraging partnerships to deliver success; and
Competitive advantages of the CStore1 approach.
Matt provided detailed insights on:
As Australia’s new carbon management services company, deepC Store Limited (“deepC Store”) originates and develops a series of commercial-scale CCS projects for a wide range of CO2 emitting industries
deepC Store’s flagship CStore1 project, Asia Pacific’s 1st offshore floating multi-user CCS hub project, covers the entire value chain of CCS. deepC Store and its industry leading CStore1 Partners can engineer, procure, construct, finance and operate all CCS facilities including the Emitter Site Facilities, offshore facilities and the CO2 injection wells.
CStore1 utilises liquefied CO2 carriers, enabling CO2 to be supplied in a cost-effective manner from further distances than what pipeline-based projects can allow, including supply from the Indo Pacific Region. This can assist in establishing Australia as a regional CCS hub.
CStore1 is replicable and scalable at multiple locations within Australia and around the world, enabling the reduction of manufacturing costs through a design one - build many approach.
CStore1’s injection reservoir selection process is focused on selecting CO2 injection sites that reduce overall CCS facilities costs.
Whether dedicated CO2 are required or whether dual purpose carriers (i.e. LNG and CO2) can be used.
